I decided to learn more about where collection lawyer Brian McNulty practised law and where he sent out his collection letters on behalf of Rogers Communications, one of the largest creditors in Canada. On April 29, 2015, I took a camera crew with me and we decided to drive to Milton, Ontario, to check out 36 Charles Street, Unit 2, the location where, according to information Brian McNulty provide to the Law Society of Upper Canada--was the address for his law office.

Furthermore, nowhere on a collection letter dated March 10, 2015, sent by Brian McNulty's law office to a person allegedly owing monies to Rogers Communications can one find the address for Brian McNulty's Milton law office as listed on the Lawyer and Paralegal Directory--found on the Law Society of Upper Canada's website, www.lsuc.on.ca
We would also invite anyone who routinely comes across lawyer's demand letters--lawyers and paralegals, bankruptcy trustees, debt settlement firms, credit counselling agencies, and debt consultants, to contact our office if they come across a demand letter from J. Brian McNulty. A quick scan of your files could potentially generate a positive hit.

The lawyer's demand letter sent by Brian McNulty found at the top of this webpage was sent out to collect an account allegedly owing to Rogers Communications.

Some people might find it odd that Rogers Communications, the owner of the Toronto Blue Bays, and one of Canada's largest creditors, would have a lawyer whose registered office appears to be located in a residence in Milton, Ontario, collecting accounts on its behalf.

Is it appropriate for a lawyer to send out a letter to a member of the public demanding payment of a debt in circumstances where (1) neither the lawyer's address or phone number on file with the provincial law society appears on the letter, and (2) the contact information appearing on the letter is that of the lawyer's collection agency client?
This particular demand letter was sent by lawyer J. Brian McNulty on behalf of his collection agency client, Credit Bureau of Canada Collections, on behalf of its client, Rogers Communications, one of the largest creditors in the country.
Credit Bureu of Canada Collections is one of the largest collection agencies in Canada. If Credit Bureau of Canada Collections has hired Brian NcNulty to send out one lawyer's demand letter on its behalf in connection with an outstanding Rogers Communications account then there is a real possibility that it has hired him to do the same on hundreds, and potentially thousands of files.
